Bob was born on an island, and the sea never left him. Wherever he lived, he found his way to the water: on a boat, with a fishing rod in his hand, or walking for miles along the beach, lost in thought.
The fisherman
Bob was an avid fisherman, and the family photo albums prove it. There he is beside a catch nearly as tall as he was, and there he is again holding up a dorado on the back of a boat, grinning from ear to ear.

The Fab Five
Some of his happiest days were spent fishing with his brothers. Five Benvin boys from a village on Cres, together again on a Florida dock, laughing at the same old stories.

Life on the boat
Days on the boat meant family, friends, sunshine and a cooler of cold drinks. Bob was happiest with the wind in his face and the people he loved around him, whether close to home or down in Key West.

Walking the beach
When he was not on the water, Bob was beside it. He loved long walks along the beach, often for miles, finding peace in the rhythm of the waves. It was where he did his best thinking, and where he was most at home.
